Max Swan
Max Swan
A saxophonist, vocalist, and producer from Philadelphia by way of Perkasie, PA, Max Swan channels influence from the likes of Stevie Wonder, James Blake, Donny Hathaway, Michael Brecker, and Lenny Pickett. He's gone from nothing-but-jazz, to everything-other-than-jazz, and all stops in between. Initially being the loud alto player that showed up for the jam session every week, Max slowly took on more opportunities in hip hop production, as both a bandleader and a studio producer, playing with a number of artists and groups during their growth in the Philly music scene; notable names include LP Stiles, Kuf Knotz, Mic Stew, and most recently, Aime. Over time, the saxophone he'd lay on tracks led to supplementing keyboards, and writing string and horn section arrangements, many of which can be heard on Aime's most recent release, "The Book of David", available on iTunes, Spotify, and Pandora. The work that was done with these artists led Max to start laying vocals on his newer music, starting with "So Much Chime" (also available on iTunes, Spotify, etc.). Swan received accolades during his new process with Councilman David Oh's PHLlive Center Stage Music Conference, Ernest Stuart's Center City Jazz Festival, all while continuing his rigorous study of saxophone, mainly by way of Lenny Pickett (SNL), in order to truly reach proficiency in the altissimo (higher) registers of the instrument. Swan's music combines his passions for jazz fusion, 21st century soul, and contemporary hip hop, featuring his vocals, saxophone, and EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument). "The Fisherman", his debut, was made possible via The Kimmel Center, and will be available soon.
Aime
Aime
Named for a diminutive biblical hero, Aime lends a gigantic presence to the mix as author and lead orator of The Book of David, a rap epic that spans 3 chapters and boasts production from Dameadelphia, the mad scientist behind Tiny Room for Elephants and standout productions for The Roots.

Derived from a drunken post-birthday rant about Aime's lingering fear of failure and eponymous series of forthcoming projects from the Queens-bred, Philly-based MC strips the formality of rap titles, filler tracks and posturing from the equation to dish up a rhythmic dose of realism.

Couched in the ubiquitous struggle that plagues most millenials and fuels the "turn-up" culture that keeps them raging into the wee hours of the morning, The Book of David is a crystalline ode to the quarter life crisis that necessarily deals with the "shit or get off the pot" urgency in the maturation of an MC doing it without a major label deal.
The Bul Bey
The Bul Bey
Energetic Philadelphia wordsmith The Bul Bey has yet to take his foot off the gas. Emerging in 2014 as Illvibe Media’s newest signee, Bey quickly assumed duties as the official host of the wildly popular Friends and Fam party fronted by DJ Matthew Law. Gaining momentum, Bey began working with the likes of !llmind, Like (of Pac Div), Roots Crew affiliate STS and more. After the release of the infectious single “Where I’m From,” Bey continued to push forward with the release of the official video for the track and his lyrical gut punch of a full-length debut, the 2015 Shaking Hands and Kissing Babies LP.

Never one to rest on his laurels, The Bul Bey hit the road soon after to promote the project with a series of dates in Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Chicago, Orlando and even Dublin. Bey’s travels have found him headlining small venues and sharing larger stages with a diverse selection of celebrated rap veterans, including Oddisee, Rapper Big Pooh, Black Milk, Rapsody, Mickey Factz and Joell Ortiz.
