There must be something in the water in OHIO!! With singers like Tracy Chapman, Macy Gray and John Legend claiming Ohio as their birth state, up and coming talented artist Marc P is another force to be reckoned with. The state’s motto…“With God all things are possible” is clearly manifested when looking at the success of these artists. All refused artistically and musically to be defined by any particular genre of music.
Marc P fits into all and any music connoisseur’s library. After listening to a song or two, it quickly becomes evident that the only category he fits in is one of a classified STAR. Marc P smoothly transitions from rock to alternative to pop and can easily take the hip hop position at any given time.
Born in Queens NY, Marc and his family moved to Ohio while he was still a toddler. At the age of four, his father passed away and his mother immediately took on the role of ‘single mom’. While growing up, his grandfather was instrumental in teaching him about music which later took on a greater revelation after his passing. When Marc P turned 13, his mother married his step father who immediately took on the much needed father role as well as continued to inspire and influence his musical interests.
While attending Robert Morris University, Marc P interned at Def Jam Recording and quickly realized his passion for entertainment. A genuine writer/producer/singer, Marc P paid close attention to all facets of the record label and experienced various ups and downs of the record business while at Def Jam. After returning to college in Philadelphia PA, he knew his passion was in music and decided to pursue his singing career immediately. With his boyish charm and good looks, he's any radio station's dream and brings his creativity and talent to match. When introduced to Marc P with a song, you pray he 'has the looks'. If introduced with a photo...you pray he can deliver a hit record. Welcome to the introduction of Marc P who is seemingly equip to deliver both.
