Dan Orlando
Dan Orlando, originally from Philadelphia and now based in New York City, is a pop/rock artist and pianist who's debut, full-length album "Range of Irrational" will be released in 2013. Mathew K
Mathew K
Alt-Country rambler, Mathew K, sings tales of sorrow and regret that resound in us all. New York, Nashville, Denver, and now Philadelphia are a few of the places along the journey he has called home. Teamed up with producer Matt Schenck, iconic punk musicians Chuck Treece (McRad, Bad Brains) and Dan Stevens (Dead Milkmen), along with Nick Bockrath, Barney McKenna (Nico's Gun,Rich Mystics), and Robbie Bennett (War on Drugs), the crew went into the studio to bring these captivating tunes to life. The self titled debut e.p. will be released Dec. 2012, followed shortly by "Misery & Gin with Dan Orlando," an unplugged trio showcasing a different side to K's writing. Katie Frank and The Pheromones
Katie Frank and The Pheromones
In 2012, Katie Frank began as a solo songwriter with an acoustic guitar, but it didn’t take long for the Elizabethtown native to round up a band of rootsy country-rock players around Philadelphia. Frank began working with a variety of local players, including Philly mainstay, Jim Boggia, on her debut EP. As her band evolved, Frank dubbed them The Pheromones. This group of seasoned musicians adds a rumbling, rambling Americana overdrive to her contemplative compositions, while their tight and lively playing gives Frank’s confident vocals an opportunity to shine. In February 2014, the group will release their debut LP, Counting Your Curses.
Andrew Winter and the Reckless Dodgers
Andrew Winter and the Reckless Dodgers
Andrew "Stripes" Winter reclaims the reigns of mountain-punk troubadour for the debut of his solo project, Andrew Winter and the Reckless Dodgers. Fresh off the heels of the European and Russian leg of the "Return to the Living" farewell tour for the iconic horror punk band, Blitzkid, Winter is focusing on the band’s first release Be Prepared coming out via his brand new co-owned label, Ahoy Hoy! Records, on January 22, 2013. For his freshman release, Winter retreats from his more notable horror punk persona after having spent the better part of the last decade touring with other giants of the genre, including Gorgeous Frankenstein (featuring The Misfits' Doyle Von Frankenstein & bodybuilder Gorgeous George), Face to Face, and Strungout. Drawing upon the many influences and experiences he has encountered along the way, Winter exhibits truly expert musicianship through the melding of various genres and themes throughout his writing and execution. As AD Amorosi, a renown music journalist and Philadelphia native, reports, "the whole shebang sounds like a sweet blend of the Avett Bros and Green Day. If you haven't heard of them yet, you will.”
