United Kingdom is a three piece rock band from Philadelphia. Working from influences as diverse as Django Reinhardt, Television, and the Tony Williams Lifetime, they play complex, polyrhythmic rock music, featuring Zach Fay's elaborate, chiming guitar lines atop the interlocking rhythms of Jeff Radigonda's precise drums and Sam Allingham's darting bass. Zach and Sam split songwriting duties, and the songs themselves feature harmonies from all three members, polishing down their technical edges to a warm pop sheen.
