Satellite Hearts
Satellite Hearts
Hailing from Philadelphia, PA, the Satellite Hearts are a three piece band that combine both the raw, unpolished, and unapologetic sound of today, with the soul of true classic rock. Featuring Justin Pellecchia on guitar, vocals, and harmonica, Lucas Rinz on bass and vocals, and Keaton Thandi on drums, percussion, and vocals; they create a sound that mixes the best of classic and alternative rock and roll, with elements of soul, funk, and R&B that give them a unique and explosive resonance that is hard to find in today’s music scene. In short: if you are a lover of rock and roll, or you’re simply looking for a good beat, strong lyrics or just a good time, then take a listen to Satellite Hearts and take a trip to sonic euphoria.
Sherman (the band)
Sherman (the band)
Taking their inspiration from the Civil War, specifically General William Sherman, the Philadelphia based Sherman (the band) manages to infuse the intensity of that brimstone march through the South with the lyrical and musical chops of a full fledged DIY rock band.
Somewhere between The Modern Lovers and Crazy Horse, this 3 piece is led by Joe Hardy, a British transplant raised in the South. Joe picked up guitar at age 13 and absorbed himself in the Florida music scene which, at the time, was heavily influenced by bluegrass and folk. Joe’s acoustic roots can still be heard in his guitar playing. Songs such as “Coffee” and “The Ocean” reflect the musical journey that is Sherman, once peaceful moments are enflamed with his screaming SG.
Paul and Miles Bianchi pull up the rest of the band. These brothers are both talented multi instrumentalist. Paul’s bass leads the band during their live sets setting the tone and pace for the show. From a shuffle to stampede the Zeppelin energy is bought to Sherman by Miles Bianchi .The Bianchi Brothers rhythm section make a fourth member unnecessary.
Sherman (the band) has performed shows around Philadelphia including KFN, The Tri-Tone and The Fire. They call Connie’s Ric Rac home base and can often be found lurking in the background. Sherman will be going into the studio in August to record their first EP. Until you see them live find them online on Facebook, Twitter and http://shermantheband.bandcamp.com/ .
