Dave attended the progressive New School of Music in Manhattan for jazz performance. Owner of the independent record label Deep PM Records, Dave released his own recording, “Sing, Sing” in 1998 to which he received acclaimed reviews. As a result he was requested to perform at the mp3.com/Angel City Film and Music Festival, as well as the Detroit Montroux Jazz Festival and the DuPont Jazz Festival. Dave has toured extensively throughout the United States with multi platinum selling Def Soul recording artist Musiq and gold selling Sony artist Vivian Green. Dave has also recorded with Jazz/Pop icon Herbie Hancock. In June of 2004 he joined Grammy award winner Jill Scott’s band. Since then he has toured the U.S. and Europe, made numerous television appearances and performed at the Wachovia Center opening for pop icon Prince. He is a faculty member at Cabrini College and Camden Community College where he runs numerous ensembles as well as maintaining a full private lesson roster. Dave currently fronts the groove-oriented organ trio, Philasophik.
