Kicking Sunrise
Kicking Sunrise
Kicking Sunrise is a band of Musicians/Songwriters from Washington Township, New Jersey, that formed after a successful posting on YouTube in January 2013. This video of Justin Timberlake’s “Suit and Tie” featured bandmates Joe Murphy and Ryan Hornibrook, and received 30,000 views in less than a month. After gaining some popularity on YouTube, Murphy and Hornibrook believed that it was time to start taking music more seriously and form a band. Considering Joe Murphy was already best friends with drummer Mark Altamuro from a previous band and Ryan Hornibrook was actively involved in writing music with guitarist Matt Bosco, the four joined together to become what is now known as Kicking Sunrise. Signed to Right Coast Music, Kicking Sunrise released their debut album “Here’s to the Sunrise” on June 2, 2015. Included on this ten track album is the band’s song, “Here’s to the Sunrise”, which was featured on TBS for Major League Baseball coverage and TNT for a PGA Tournament shortly after its release. On April 15, 2016, Kicking Sunrise had the privilege to perform their song “Here’s to the Sunrise” on CBS3 Philadelphia. Not only did the boys appear on television for the first time, but their song “Here’s to the Sunrise” was officially named the theme song for CBS3’s morning show “CBS3 Mornings.” The band later released an official music video of “Here’s to the Sunrise” on VEVO, which has gained moderate success over the past year.
